Framing — Floor

Description

Install rim board (typically 1-1/8 inch LVL or 2x material) on top of sill plate around the perimeter. Rim board transfers floor loads to foundation and provides a nailing surface for exterior sheathing. Seal top and bottom edges for air tightness.
